How to add and set a featured image
A Featured Image is a representative picture for your post displayed in different areas of your website such as homepage, post pages, related post areas, recent post widgets, featured area sliders.
How do I assign a Featured Image?
To assign a Featured Image to a post, navigate to the create/edit screen of your post. In the box titled “Featured Image” (bottom-right part of the sidebar) you can add and select the desired image. Be sure to update your post when you’re finished.
You can choose how the featured image will be displayed on the single post page between three different layouts:
- Top of the post (the image will be displayed at the top of the page)
- Inside post (the image will be included in the post under the title)
- None (the image will not be visible in the post)
Go to: Posts > Add New > Featured Image Position
Size recommendations! The featured images should not be wider than 1600-1800px, and it’s important to save them for web at 72 dpi, to reduce the loading time of your website. When you see different image sizes in the demos of our theme you don’t worry: WordPress will resize your images automatically.
